(October 16, 2007 – Naples, FL) On Tuesday, November 6th from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM Naples-based author M.B.Weston will host “Open Mic Night” for the public. This FREE event happens at Barnes & Nobles in the Waterside Shops located at 5377 Tamiami Trail North in Naples.
“Open Mic Night” is an opportunity for anyone to come out and share their talents whether it be reading poetry, playing music or singing. “Open Mic Night” in Naples continues to evolved and has attracted many in middle and high school to showcase their talents, though it is not solely for the younger crowd. Each act gets 5-10 minutes on stage (depending on the amount of acts) to perform and get more comfortable in front of a crowd while building their following. In between scheduled performances, Weston keeps the evening going through a variety of different means.
M.B.Weston released her first book entitled A Prophecy Forgotten, published through ArcheBooks Publishing. A Prophecy Forgotten is the first in the Elysian Chronicles trilogy. Weston is not only an award-winning writer, but also a talented and motivating speaker. She has been scheduled as a guest speaker at many schools and events throughout Florida.
