Elysian Chronicles Fun Facts: Heyden’s Original Name

Heyden, the hawk assigned to watch Tommy in both A Prophecy Forgotten and Out of the Shadows, was not originally called Heyden. When I was working on the first draft of APF I couldn’t think of a name for him, so I called him Hudson–after the movie Hudson Hawk–as a little inside joke. My first editor apparently didn’t appreciate Hudson Hawk‘s brand of humor, and I received my edited manuscript back with the hawk’s name to Heyden.
